Winnipeg Public Library invites applicants for the position of Writer-in-Residence for 2024-2025

Winnipeg, MB – Winnipeg Public Library is seeking applications for the 2024-2025 edition of its Writer-in-Residence program.

From an office at the Millennium Library in Winnipeg, the Writer-in-Residence will work with emerging Manitoba writers through individual consultations by phone, email, and online, as well as in-person meetings. The Writer-in-Residence will also offer group workshops and a writing circle. The residency also includes time to work on a personal writing project.

The program is offered province-wide thanks to the support of the Public Library Services Branch of Manitoba Sport, Culture, Heritage and Tourism.

The residency term will run October 1, 2024 until April 30, 2025. Applications are due Monday, June 3, 2024.

The Writer-in-Residence program started in 1985 and this upcoming term will be the Library’s 35th Writer-in-Residence.
